our MISSION.

Love God.

Jesus was speaking to the religious leaders from His time and was asked a question in Matthew 22:36 “‘Teacher, which is the greatest commandment in the Law?’”. Jesus Responded with a simple yet profound statement. Verse 37 Jesus replied: “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. 38 This is the first and greatest commandment.’” Jesus calls His followers to live out the Great Commandment.

Share the Gospel.

Like the Great Commandment (How to Live), Jesus also gave us the Great Commission (What to Live Out). In Mark 16 He tells us what our Calling is as His Children. Verse 15-16 15 He said to them, ““Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation. 16 Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be condemned.”” We’ve been called to make the Good News of Jesus known!

Love People.

In the same breath as Matthew 22:37 Jesus continued and said the second greatest commandment is like the first… Matthew 22:39 - 39 ““And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ 40 All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments.”” Jesus made The Great Commandment CLEAR. Love God & Love People. It’s our Mission as the Church to Live this out in every aspect of our lives.

Make Disciples.

As concrete a call as Sharing the Gospel is Jesus also tells His people to go out and make Disciples. A Disciple is one who Follows Jesus and teaches others how to do the same. Matthew 28:18-20 18 Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. 19 Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”

To Love God is to Love People. To Love People is to be madly intent on telling them the Good News of Jesus and helping them take steps in Faith.

“Because we loved you so much, we were delighted to share with you not only the gospel of God but our lives as well.”
